We strive to answer the call of help from worldwide communities in need to improve their quality of life. Our goal is to support these communities with necessary resources they lack such as food, proper medicine and educational materials.
We focus on meeting the immediate and essential needs of vulnerable populations within their communities. By distributing food, clothing, and shelter to those experiencing homelessness, poverty, or natural disasters. By providing these vital resources, we help individuals regain stability, dignity, and a sense of belonging.
We are an integral part of our society, actively working to uplift and empower communities in need. Through our commitment, dedication, and passion, these grassroots initiatives fill gaps in services, advocate for change, and provide essential resources to those who need them most. By addressing immediate needs, nurturing community engagement, fostering skill development, and amplifying the voices of marginalized individuals, we create a more equitable and inclusive society.
Founder
Gema Lopez- Nicaragua Native
Gema Lopez is an inspiring individual who, despite facing adversity early in life, has dedicated herself to making a positive impact on others. Born and raised in Nicaragua, Gema tragically lost her mother at a young age. This profound loss deeply affected her, shaping her perspective on life and instilling within her a strong sense of empathy and compassion.
Driven by her personal experience, Gema channeled her grief into action and founded Smiles from Heaven.

Ana Castillo - Guatemala Native
Ana is responsible for a myriad of different responsibilities including fundraising events such as balls, garage sales and raffles.
Also donation management, and general administration.

Liliam Hernández – Cuba Native
As Chief Financial Officer, Lilliam brings her experience from her positions as General Manager and CEO for the audiovisual industry for over 40 years. Thrilled to join Smiles From Heaven, in 2017 she embarked on this beautiful journey of salvation. Lilliam sees her work here as an opportunity to combine her business experience with the opportunity of maximizing resources to help kids and families to overcome poverty and injustices.

Ingrid Y Salcedo – Colombia Native
With a background in programming, TV executive and producer, Ingrid sees her role at Smiles from Heaven as the perfect opportunityto utilize her skills and work experience to give back and raise awareness. Ingrid feels blessed every day to be part of an amazing team that is passionately committed to give back to the community.
Pediatric Cardiac Surgeon and Volunteer
Iris Pamela Flores – Nicaragua Native
After joining Smiles From Heaven in 2015, Iris has been leading the expansion of the foundation's reach in health programmes, especially congenital heart diseases. Her goal with this foundation is to set up Open Heart Surgery Missions. She creates awareness about the challenge of congenital heart care in low and middle income countries and organizes fundraisers for the cause.

Suzanne Pupo - USA Native
She joined Smiles From Heaven in 2021. Suzanne plays an important role supporting with the coordination of the fund-raising activities, balls, missions abroad and garage sales.
